WhoisFind Editorial Policy

How WhoisFind prepares, sources, translates, and maintains its guides.

WhoisFind publishes practical explanations of domains, DNS, and registration lookups. The publisher is WhoisFind. Our purpose is to help readers interpret a result and choose an appropriate next check, not to present a lookup snapshot as a legal or operational guarantee.

Sources and drafting

Guides prioritize primary material such as RFCs, ICANN resources, IANA references, and provider documentation for provider-specific behavior. Each technical guide links to sources that support its main claims. AI assistance may be used for drafting and translation. Text is checked for consistency with the product's actual scope and the cited material, but we do not claim that a named human expert reviewed every article.

Updates and limits

Publication and update dates identify editorial changes. We revise pages when a meaningful rule, product behavior, or explanation changes; a date alone does not prove that every linked source was rechecked that day. Domain data changes independently of our articles. Lookups may be cached, redacted, unavailable, or different across providers.

When a result affects a purchase, transfer, or security decision, verify it with the registrar, authoritative DNS operator, or other responsible source. Suggestions for corrections should identify the page and the specific claim so the material can be rechecked.
